About the Course:

CAOHC courses are designed to train personnel who will be or are conducting audiometric testing, those who are actively involved in hearing conservation, and those who supervise hearing conservation programs.  This course meets the requirements of the Council for Accreditation in Occupation Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) and will cover all the required hearing conservation topics that will lead to CAOHC certification. Attendees will also be taught how to perform an audiometric hearing test and how to fit employees with hearing protection. Upon successful completion of the course, participants are eligible for certification or recertification through CAOHC. Completion of a CAOHC-approved course does not automatically grant Occupational Hearing Conservation certification. All students must pass a computer-based examination at the conclusion of the course. *Note-CAOHC requires all exams to be taken electronically. You must bring a laptop computer capable of connecting to WiFi with you to the course. The exam can only be taken using either Mozilla Firefox or Chrome browsers. Recertification is required every 5 years.

About the Course Director:

Mindy Guillory is your course director. She is a registered nurse and a Certified Occupational Health Nurse Specialist. She has her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Pittsburgh and her Graduate Certificate in Occupational Health Nursing from the University of North Carolina. Mindy is passionate about hearing conservation, employee health, and employee wellness, dedicating over 12 years of work to the cause. *Cancellation Policy: A full refund will be issued for cancellations requested greater than 14 days prior to the course start date. 50% of the course fee will be refundable for cancellation requests made less than 14 days of the course start date. In instances where course materials have already been received (or are en route), the applicant must return of all course materials in their original condition within 10 days. Failure to return these materials will result in a charge of $150. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to mindy@cnsoccmed.com. Registrants who do not cancel are liable for the entire fee.

*CEUs are not offered for this course.
